International
Quidditch Association
In 2008 I co-founded an international sports league based on the books of Harry Potter that garnered millions of free media impressions and we hosted events that saw 30,000+ attendees. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit that aids in the fight against child obesity, improves child literacy, and is the first full contact gender neutral sport on most college campuses around the world.
Quidditch is played in over 40 countries and is constantly growing. As one of the only mixed-gender contact sports in the world we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming sport. We especially welcome those from the LGBTQ+ community and those who identify as trans and/or non-binary.
Creating a nonprofit from the ground up that quickly became a phenomenon in colleges across the world, lead to some some of the biggest organizational design challenges I’ve faced when it comes to org structure, budgeting, resourcing, and PR
